Shoalhaven Council Approve $840K for Boardwalk Replacement

At the Shoalhaven City Council Ordinary Meeting on 15 Dec 2015, the Council approved the Conjola Community’s preferred design and proposed funding of $840,000 for the replacement of the Lake Conjola Boardwalk. The approved design is for the boardwalk to be 1.8 metres wide, and constructed using Wagner Fibre Technology products - composite fibre substructure, and recycled plastic decking.
A Request for Tender is planned to be released in early 2016. Further information and detail on the designed options, recommendations and Council approval are available from the following links:-

Council pass motion in support of Boardwalk Replacement
Published 4th June 2015 At a full Shoalhaven Council Meeting held at the Civic Centre Ulladulla on 21 Apr 2015, the following was adopted: Option 4 for the replacement of the Boardwalk at Lake Conjola at a cost of $840,000. Councillor White and Findley spoke in favour of the replacement, then Councillor John Wells asked for a motion to be adopted. This was for Shoalhaven City Council to send a letter to the Hon Shelley Hancock sitting State Member and Speaker of the House of Legislative Assembly asking her to write to the Minister of Natural Resources, Land and Water requesting a loan to fund the boardwalk.
