The Green Army in Conjola

The Green Army is a hands-on practical, grassroots environmental action programme that supports local environmental and heritage conservation projects across Australia. It is an initiative for young Australians aged between 17-24 years interested in protecting their local environment.
The Green Army team, comprising of up to 9 participants and 1 team leader, are due to start at Lake Conjola in early April 2015. A number of works are planned for the Lake Conjola area including:-
- Assisting Council with foreshore rehabilitation and weed control at Milham St/ Garrad Way, the Entrance boat ramp and Carroll Ave Reserve.
- Vegetation clearing around the Conjola Community Hall
- Bush regeneration/rehabilitation around Lake Conjola Tourist Park and Council land surrounding Pattemores Lagoon
