Reporting a Problem to Council - Snap-Send-Solve

Council recently introduced a free app for your iPhone or Android phone/device to report problems and issues, and to provide feedback to Council. The app called Snap-Send-Solve, uses your Smartphone's location to determine your current Council area. You can capture an image and report issues including litter, damaged roads or footpaths, parking issues, street cleaning, trees, general requests and feedback.

The Office of Environment & Heritage (OEH) is organising community information sessions on Coastal Management Reform in November and December 2015. South Coast sessions will be held in Kiama at The Pavillion on Tue 1 Dec from 6-8pm, and in Narooma at The Narooma Golf Club on Wed 2 Dec from 6-8pm. Email from Russ Pigg, General Manager, Shoalhaven City Council, quote "You would have heard a lot in the media about the “Fit for the Future” local government reforms, debate about possible mergers etc. Shoalhaven City has been assesses as “fit” by IPART when it recently released its Report, which also says that there is no evidence to suggest that council should not remain as a “stand alone” council.

The dredging contract has been awarded to Sandpiper dredging based in Tweed Heads. The dredging will commence late February 2016 with a time frame of finished in March 2016....more.

Soft Jaw trapping for foxes on Conjola Beach will commence on the evening of Thu 8 Oct 2015. Trapping will occur inside the fenced and sign posted area on Conjola Beach Spit (the Dog Prohibited Area). Fox trapping at Conjola Beach

The National Parks and Wildlife Service are undertaking fox trapping at the Conjola Beach Spit and in the Narawallee Creek Nature Reserve. The initial attempt to trap the fox in the week 3-6 March 2015 was unsuccessful and trapping has been extended by one week until 13 March 2015. The trapping is being undertaken to try to catch the fox that destroyed the Little Tern colony last month. Fencing and signage have been erected to warn people (and their dogs) not to enter the trapping area.
